Joy Division was a British post-punk band formed in Salford, Greater Manchester, in 1976. The band consisted of Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Stephen Morris. They released three studio albums, including the influential 'Unknown Pleasures' in 1979.
