We are very excited to announce that both Drawbridge and Khey Mysterio will be making their Canberra debut, as they join us at Shadows this Monday night. We welcome these incredible DJs and producers all the way from France, where they have undoubtedly solidified themselves in Paris’ electronic music scene. If you’ve missed their recent performances at Concordia, Cataphonic or Feldspar, this may be your last opportunity to see them in Australia before they head back home. Having played on Rinse France, GIMIC and Kiosk Radio, and with a myriad of releases under their belts, Drawbridge and Khey Mysterio have established themselves as talented artists, whose EPs fit comfortably on labels including Electric Shapes, Organic Signs, Blue Night Jungle and 10.60 Hz. This Monday, you can expect to hear their rich textures, crafted from psychedelic soundscapes which may blend anything from hypnotic techno with dub, to trance with breaks. Genuinely nothing is off the table (or decks) when it comes to these two forest druids. Khey Mysterio will undoubtedly showcase his percussive, bass driven sound, followed by Drawbridge, whose selection of faster trance-like tracks will comfortably close out the night. Accompanying these two are local talents, Gelli and Nobl, who will warm up the dancefloor for us. Although this may be their first time mixing together, their extensive resumes certainly indicate that this will prove no trouble for them. You may know gelli from the Living Room mix series which he runs, and you might’ve heard Nobl at any of the very extensive list of clubs, doofs and festivals she’s played at, including Dayshift, Spilt Milk, Turn & Burn and Digi. Regardless of whether this is your first time hearing them play, or if you’ve been to every single one of their sets, we can assure you that they will have no issues with getting you grooving for the night ahead.
