About
Japanese art-punk power-trio TsuShiMaMiRe (つしまみれ) have spent more than a quarter-century navigating a path between underground and the mainstream. Though they've had brushes with pop-cultural zeitgeist via their inclusion on the Fortnite soundtrack, or by providing the theme song to the Japanese broadcast of the Powerpuff Girls, the band's focus has always remained on steadfast touring and recording. They've now racked up 23 full-length albums and thousands of shows at home and abroad - including 19 American tours and seven European trips. For the band's 20th anniversary show, the trio marked the occasion by playing a marathon 20-hour, 175-song set. Though they have arena-rockin' experience opening for the likes of Jack White, TsuShiMaMiRe are most at home in a packed club with the audience in their face: their playful, subversive songwriting and razor-sharp musicianship exploding in a joyous burst of energy, equal parts precision, chaos, and connection. After years of clamouring from Australian fans, the band is finally making the trip down under. "We are so excited to finally come to Australia,” the band share. “We’ve heard amazing things about the energy of Australian audiences and can’t wait to play our music there.” Supports TBA
