Cease + Desist is proud to present Voice Actor, with support by Nū. Voice Actor is the enigmatic music project of-Sheffield-based artist Noa Kurzweil. Voice Actor has established herself as one of contemporary electronic music’s most distinctive voices, blending her haunting, deadpan vocals with dream-pop, IDM, trip-hop, and lo-fi aesthetics with hypnagogic soundscapes. Sent From My Telephone, released in 2022 by prolific label Stroom, saw Voice Actor emerge from relative mystery with a sprawling of a record with over 100 songs, running over three hours long. In the age of the digital deluge, it's a testament that Voice Actor's debut remains captivating, holding people for longer than our micro attentions span allow. Since Sent From My Telephone, Voice Actor has gone on to release Fake Sleep (2023) and her latest LP Lust (1) created in collaboration with Welsh producer Squu. Performing her only Naarm sideshow, behind a thin veil projected screen. This gig is not one to miss.
