Through the Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot (CRISP), Naarm Neighbours support LGBTQI+ refugees who have been approved for a permanent protection visa in Australia by meeting them at the airport and helping them settle in Melbourne, supporting them throughout their first 12 months here. They're currently raising funds to cover essential goods on arrival including accommodation, furniture, transport, and basic living expenses. This event takes place on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people. We acknowledge the deep relationship and care that Wurundjeri people have with this land and recognise the ongoing survival and cultural wisdom of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other First Nations peoples around the world. This always was, is, and will be, Aboriginal land.
