Sublime was an American reggae rock band formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California. The band consisted of Bradley Nowell, Eric Wilson, and Bud Gaugh, and they were known for their unique blend of reggae, ska, and punk rock sounds. They released several successful albums, including '40oz. to Freedom' and 'Self Titled', before the death of lead singer Bradley Nowell in 1996.
