Concerts in Brisbane: April 2026

April is a strong month for live music in Brisbane, sharpened this year by an unusual piece of industry context: Bluesfest Touring's collapse means several major international bookings that would have anchored Byron Bay sets are now standalone headline shows in Brisbane instead. The Pogues, The Black Crowes, Counting Crows, and Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew's Remain in Light project all shifted to city venues when the festival liquidated. The shows are confirmed and running under new promoters.
The Easter long weekend (Good Friday 3 April through Easter Monday 6 April) opens the month with a cluster; the first two weeks carry the heaviest schedule. Three dates in particular are worth planning around.
Saturday 4 April is the busiest single day: Touch Bass 10 Year Anniversary runs from 3pm at Brisbane Showgrounds (Dimension, RL Grime, A.M.C, and more) while Counting Crows headline Fortitude Music Hall from 7:30pm. Two major events, different genres, and different ends of the city.
Wednesday 8 April has Pierce the Veil at Riverstage and BRIZROCKS FESTIVAL II at The Tivoli simultaneously.
Friday 17 April runs Everything Everything at the Princess Theatre, Augie March at The Triffid, and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening at Fortitude Music Hall all from 7-8pm.
Tickets are available through Ticketek, Ticketmaster, and Moshtix depending on the show. Go Card covers all public transport in Brisbane.

Pierce The Veil: I Can't Hear You World Tour

It is their first Australian show since 2016 and the first opportunity locally to hear 2023's The Jaws of Life performed live. Special guests Movements and Jack Kays support. Riverstage holds around 10,000 and suits the scale of the I Can't Hear You World Tour, which has already sold out Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. Gates open at 5pm; the outdoor setting means the sun should be down by the time the headliner takes stage.
Tickets: Ticketmaster. Presented by Live Nation.

Friday 10 April | The Tivoli, Fortitude Valley | 7pm

Practical Notes
Getting to Brisbane Showgrounds (Touch Bass, Bowen Hills)
Brisbane Showgrounds is at 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills. Bowen Hills Station on the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, and Airport lines is a 10-minute walk from the main showgrounds entrance. Trains run frequently from Roma Street and Central. On Easter Saturday, expect high patronage; check translink.com.au for the event-day timetable. Rideshare pickup and drop-off operates well on Gregory Terrace. On-site parking is available at the showgrounds but fills for large events; public transport is the practical option for a 3pm start that runs into the evening.
Getting to Riverstage and South Bank (CityCat / Ferry)
Riverstage is in the City Botanic Gardens at Gardens Point. South Bank, QUT Gardens Point, and North Quay CityCat stops are all within a 10-minute walk. The CityCat runs regularly along the river and is covered by Go Card; tap on and tap off. Show days at Riverstage typically see high ferry demand post-show; arriving and leaving by CityCat is reliable but expect queues at the wharf after a 10,000-capacity event. Alternatively, Kangaroo Point and East Brisbane are walkable across the Story Bridge and Goodwill Bridge respectively.
Getting to Fortitude Valley Venues (Fortitude Music Hall, The Tivoli, Woolly Mammoth, Black Bear Lodge)
Fortitude Valley Station on the City loop and the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, and Shorncliffe lines puts you a two-minute walk from the main strip on Brunswick Street. Trains run frequently from Central and Roma Street. The Fortitude Music Hall is directly adjacent to the station; The Tivoli is less than 10 minutes on foot. Go Card covers all services. Rideshare pickup on Ann Street works well. Street parking fills quickly on busy nights; public transport is the practical option.
Getting to The Triffid (Newstead)
The Triffid is at 9 Stratton Street, Newstead, roughly 2km from the CBD. There is no direct train to Newstead; the 60 and 61 bus routes serve the area from the CBD, or rideshare is the most convenient option for late nights. The walk from Fortitude Valley Station is approximately 25 minutes along Wickham Street and through the Gasworks precinct. Parking is available in the surrounding Newstead area on street.
Getting to The Princess Theatre (Woolloongabba)
The Princess Theatre is at 8 Annerley Road, Woolloongabba. Woolloongabba Station on the Cross River Rail lines is a short walk. Buses 200, 204, and 212 also serve the area from the CBD. Street parking on Logan Road and surrounding streets is available but limited on busy nights.
Getting to Brisbane Entertainment Centre (Boondall)
Brisbane Entertainment Centre is at Melaleuca Drive, Boondall, approximately 15km north of the CBD. The centre is not on a train line; bus route 305 from Roma Street and the city serves Boondall, but travel time can be over an hour. Driving and parking on-site is the default option for most attendees; parking is available but fills early for major shows and pre-booking is recommended where available. Rideshare drop-off to the venue entrance operates well for early arrivals.
Go Card and Public Transport
Brisbane's public transport uses the Go Card contactless ticketing system. Tap on and tap off on all trains, buses, and CityCats. Cards are available from TransLink retailers, online, and at major stations. The Go Card gives a discount over paper tickets on every trip. Check journey times on translink.com.au before heading out, particularly on Easter weekend when some services run reduced timetables.
Earplugs
Bring them. Musician's earplugs with flat attenuation cost between $20 and $40 at most music retailers and many pharmacies. They reduce volume without muddying the sound and are worth carrying for any show in this list, from Riverstage to The Triffid.
Muse can help you find people heading to the same shows this month.
