SUBconscious // Digital & Charla Green [Function Records]

About

On 21 November, SUBconscious takes over Village Underground Barcelona for a night rooted in sound system culture: deep bass, rolling breaks and jungle energy. Heading up the night are Digital & Charla Green, representing Function Records. Digital brings decades of jungle and sound-system heritage, while Charla brings a fresh, bass-driven take on the sound. Their collaborations bring their styles together through heavyweight breaks, deep bass and seriously infectious riddims. Representing Barcelona, Egres & Sekev of Jungle Jungle bring decades of combined experience behind the decks and a long history within the city’s jungle and DnB scene. They’re joined by Jon-Roy, founder and resident of Malta’s long-running Statix crew, and YAY Crew, representing the sound system powering the night. On the mic, No Limit, a former battle rapper, flies in from the UK with razor-sharp bars and high-energy delivery, alongside Stormy, SUBconscious co-founder and a fixture of Barcelona’s jungle and bass culture for more than two decades. Visuals by Meerkat, shaping the atmosphere with an immersive visual journey throughout the night.. This is proper underground jungle and drum & bass delivered through a serious sound system. See you on the dancefloor. --------------- *Village Underground operates a strict no photography policy inside the venue.
