FLOW MUSIC PRESENTS: PHIL SMART AND JASON LEWIS September 12th at Haven Byron Bay with another edition of Flow Music programming brings us some of the best that know their way around a dance floor in Australia. We are very proud to welcome Phil Smart and Jason Lewis yet again for a night of euphoric, melodic, progressive, and floor stomping beats. Two of our lifelong favourites and Flow Music regulars will be taking the night for part solo sets and an epic back to back. PHIL SMART Phil has been an influential part of the Australian electronic music scene since the early warehouse rave days in Sydney. He’s played lots of records to lots of people in lots of clubs, bars, warehouses, fields, deserts, basements, carparks and bunkers over the years. He’s renowned for playing fresh sounds and forward thinking electronic music and has been involved in putting on some of the most legendary parties and events in Sydney and beyond. Voted Australian DJ of the Year at the National Dance Music Awards in 2000, and twice voted into DJ Magazine's prestigious list of the world's Top 100 DJs. He’s played at the premier events around Australia including Subsonic, S.A.S.H, Motorik, Love, Sabotage, Tweekin, Mad Racket, Chinese Laundry and Revolver, as well as festivals such as Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Big Day Out, Falls Festival and Splendour In The Grass. He also held an infamous long-standing residency at Tweekin, the Sydney clubbing institution voted Best Club Night at the 2000 Dance Music Awards and described by DJ Magazine in the UK as "coming under the very short list of proper clubs around the world". As an indication of musical versatility, Phil has been chosen to play alongside visiting DJs as diverse as Michael Mayer, M.A.N.D.Y., Adam Freeland, Sven Vath, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Sasha, John Digweed and Jose Padilla.
