2026 sees Apartment Records turn 15, a rare milestone for an Irish independent electronic music label. To celebrate, the imprint is putting together an evening of exclusive live performances from friends past, present and future. Apartment Records presents: JO JOHNSON (Quiet Details, Further Records / UK) - Irish debut! BEING (Firecracker, Apartment / UK) - Irish debut! DRM (Apartment / IRL) - Live debut! ------------- JO JOHNSON is a lauded electronic musician whose musical path has serpentined from punk through techno to deeply affecting electronic minimalism. A former guitarist for the 90s radical punk band Huggy Bear, she later immersed herself in the London techno scene, joining the Bleep43 collective in 2001 and launching its label. For the last 12 years as a solo artist releasing mesmerising albums through revered labels such as Further Records and Quiet Details, alongside setting up her own imprint Silver Threads. A feature at such parties as No Way Back in Detroit and Free Rotation in Wales, Johnson has performed across the UK, Europe, Asia and America but is only now finally making her Irish debut with this exclusive live performance! ------------- BEING is one of the many monikers of Scottish producer Dave Paton, the definition of an under-the-radar artist, most widely recognised for his Wee Djs electro alias. Since the early 90s Paton low-key straddled the worlds of ambient and techno under the Being alias until in 2021 Edinburgh’s Firecracker Recordings, to wide acclaim, introduced some early works to a much wider audience with the “Broxburn Funk” LP. This was followed up with the “There” album on Apartment, once again unearthing a collection of beautiful & inimitable electronics lost to tape for decades. The Being project has continued to evolve since then, exploring the spaces where ambient, funk and techno intercross. This will also be Being’s debut Irish performance. ------------- DRM is the latest addition to the Apartment roster with the forthcoming debut album “The Delphi Coracle” helping to mark 15 years of the label in typically idiosyncratic fashion. The album is a tricky to define collection of experimental electro-acoustics dialed in from the cosmos. Celestial drones & cosmic, stepping electronix wrapped around a soulful hypnosis from a different world. DRM is the new alias of Andy “A-Force” Wilson, a one time affiliate of the !Kaboogie and Alphabet Set collectives. Continuing the f-f-f-fresh theme of the night, this will be the debut DRM live performance.
