From the minds behind Alien Communications, Craigie Knowes and GRDN comes the next Subterranean. On Saturday 19th September, we open the doors to a long-dormant bunker buried somewhere beneath Edinburgh. Built for another time and another purpose, its concrete chambers will be brought back to life. For now, the location remains classified. At the centre of the event is Éclair Fifi — a selector with a knack for finding the unexpected and making it feel exactly where it belongs. Restless, playful and impossible to box in, she joins Alien Communications, Craigie Knowes and noodle for a night of deep dives and joyful detours. Elsewhere below ground, Open Decks Social will be taking over a second chamber, passing the controls to a cast of emerging local selectors. If all that wasn't tempting enough, GRDNs hand-built sound system will be hauled into the depths and paired with a custom lighting installation shaped around the brutalist architecture of the space. Expect heavy pressure, thick smoke and plenty of room to wiggle. Subterranean is an inclusive, intimate and sound-focused experience. Stay present, look after one another and keep phone use and flash photography away from the dance floor.
