For our next RUSH we’re bringing one of the architects of modern techno to Glasgow for a very special set. CARI LEKEBUSCH — 90s HYBRID SET Cari Lekebusch’s fingerprints are all over some of the best electronic music to come out of the 90s. Across his own name and a ridiculous number of aliases which include Agent orange, shape changer, Fred, Braincell and Vector. Cari built a huge body of music that moved between wild techno, house, electro, acid, dub and funk which has influenced so many people to this day. For RUSH he’ll be digging right back into that period for a special hybrid set made up of his own 90s productions, pulling music from across the different names and projects he was recording under at the time. This is the era of Hybrid Productions, Svek, Missile, Planet Rhythm and Harthouse. Music made while the Stockholm sound was still being formed, long before Swedish techno became the institution it is now. Full of jacking, futuristic records which still sound completely out there three decades later. It also marks a massively overdue return. Cari’s last UK appearance we can find was in 2018, meaning this will be his first UK appearance in around eight years. As always we have our residents Bash Man and Mi$$ Co$mix in hand to set the tone with freaky house, techno, acid and breaks that will take you to a world beyond!
