We return to Haven welcoming DJ SPIT (DE), Adam Munnings (Lunchbox Candy), as well as loved locals Asha Franco & Castla. Haven positions itself as a one-of-a-kind temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity. The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. The installation led by Oliver Buckworth, Katsu Yokoyama and Zelimir Harasty takes guests to a street scene in a densely populated city, where culture, sound and life overlap. There’s traces of Kowloon city, 80’s anime, Wong Kar Wai films and Tokyo listening bar culture. Tickets are limited and expected to move very quickly. Info on the artists below. With a dynamic sound combining 90s house, breakbeat, bouncy techno, trance and indie dance, his sets are fueled with intention to make your body move. As co-founder of Lunchbox Candy a bi-monthy queer rave (but cuter), Adam strives to curate inclusive, transformational and euphoric nightlife experiences where community and creativity unite.
