Getting Ready for Moodymann! Kenny Dixon Jr., aka Moodymann, is a Detroit original, a revered figure among DJs and producers, and a true icon of underground dance music. Rooted in Black musical traditions, his sound moves freely between house, soul, funk, jazz, and disco. Always guided by groove, emotion, and an instinct for the moment. After more than three decades of influence, his sound still feels alive unpredictable, expressive, and uniquely his own.
