DUBSTATE: Douvelle19, Kitsch, imad:re & Ginster

About

Douvelle19, songwriter, producer, selector. A foundation built upon worlds that rarely meet. Music that draws equal parts from UK underground club culture, emotive songwriting, and a lifetime of eclectic influences. From jazz, blues and trip hop, to grime, house, trance, metal and Arabic pop. Every chapter of his upbringing has found its way into a sound that feels both deeply personal and unmistakably forward thinking. As his audience continues to grow internationally, he remains driven by the same philosophy that inspired him as a teenager making beats in his hometown of Newport: great music doesn't belong in boxes, it brings people together. To support, Kitsch makes her first Manchester club appearance. An act that's long been in the works for us, she draws a similar style - purposeful, club ready percussion, with underlying expressive melodies, nothing short of ethereal. A residents' showcase completes the proceedings. Trust us. This has been curated to make you move.
