On June 11, a day after grant dell’s renae debut, Thomas St goes full tartan as dynamite DJ and production wizard Wallace brings the party to renae. A favourite of Palms Trax, Ivan Smagghe, Avalon Emerson, and just about everyone with taste, Wallace has emerged as one of the scene’s most exciting new voices, so grab your dancing shoes and get involved. On hosting and support duties is our very own Mouridis, diving deep into his collection for house heaters, deep grooves, and dreamy electro. After immersing himself in the beating heart of Edinburgh’s club scene as a student, Wallace returned to his hometown of Shrewsbury and locked himself away in the studio, translating his love for the dance floor into a signature sound. Following the seismic response to a string of edits on his own Tartan imprint, he quickly pivoted to original productions, releasing a steady stream of heat on Studio Barnhus, Phantasy Sound, Rhythm Section, Moxie’s On Loop, and Palms Trax’s CWPT label. These vibrant, versatile releases united dancers and DJs in the rare euphoria caused by a fresh sound that truly bangs. Sets everywhere from Panorama Bar to Glasgow’s La Cheetah followed, with Wallace blending his own productions with deep, diverse selections to raise pulses and roofs alike.
