Superior Ingredients welcomes Kyle Watson to The Roof on Sunday, September 27 for a special end of summer gathering in Williamsburg. Over the last several years, the Johannesburg born producer has become a fixture within modern house music through a steady run of releases on labels including Dirtybird, Higher Ground, Atlantic, Ultra, This Ain’t Bristol, and Gorgon City’s REALM imprint. His productions balance low slung basslines with detailed percussion and vocal driven hooks that have made their way into clubs and festival sets across the world. Watson began releasing music in 2007 and steadily built momentum through his productions and touring schedule. In 2017, he earned nominations for Best Producer and Best Male DJ at the Dance Music Awards South Africa, marking a major moment in his rise from local favorite to internationally recognized artist. The following year, he released his debut album Into The Morning, a project that expanded beyond his club focused catalog and highlighted a broader side of his production style. The release was followed by a U.S. tour that helped further establish his growing international audience. Since then, his touring career has stretched across North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Brazil, with appearances at Electric Forest, CRSSD, Shambhala, Dirtybird Campout, and Ultra South Africa. Alongside his solo work, Watson co founded Box of Cats in 2016, a label that has become a respected outlet for club ready house music and emerging producers. His discography includes standout releases such as “Major Games,” “My Level,” “Landmine,” and “Safe” with Stace Cadet, along with remixes for Rudimental, ZHU, and Oliver Heldens.
