Nachti, an intimate, DIY festival built around a community ethos, was founded in 1998 at Schullandheim Olganitz, a former school residential centre in a small village near Leipzig, by the enthusiasts behind Nachtdigital and Nachtiville and is known for its carefully curated programme. The platform is an alternative to careless name-dropping and commercial mass production, remaining dedicated to electronic music. On 25 September, together with BMI and Ndrx, Nachti is presented by its core members and longest-standing residents, whose artistic trajectories were greatly influenced by the festival: The Magic Power imprint boss, Victor, a versatile DJ, moving fluidly from house to syncopated, break-riddled techno to ambient dub and everything in between. Berlin-based Lux, inspired by Leipzig’s illegal parties and subcultures, mixing leftfield electronic, breakbeat, house and Italo with a strong sense of storytelling. Performing live is German techno mainstay René Pawlowitz, better known as Shed, the founder of Soloaction Records with support from the iconic Hard Wax in 2002. His Shedding the Past was named Album of the Year by Resident Advisor in 2008, followed by The Traveller, The Killer, and the latest Rave Echoes on Dekmantel in 2026. True to the old-school underground tradition, he releases records under numerous aliases, including Craft, DD 2, DD 3, DD4, Distance Dancer, EQD, Evil Fred, Head High, Hoover1, Operation Amplified, PCK, Rhythm-Spd, Seelow, Sigg Gonzalez, Stable Mates, Storm On Earth, STP, The Higher, The Panamax Project. An unapologetic devotee of early rave and hardcore, René brings the same dedication to his craft, regardless of moniker or sound, along with a deep love of dance music and rave culture. Boyá and Valley Dolly take over Horoom alongside vinyl-focused DJ Karete Bu, rooted in house groovers and UK-leaning rhythms, risk-taking selections, unexpected twists, and a strong sense of momentum on the dance floor. Map.ache and Sevensol, founders of KANN and its sub-label Mana All Nite, bring back Manamana, their signature back-to-back project, renowned for its instinctive, spontaneous style and extraordinary chemistry behind the decks.
