HVL performs live at Horoom on 14th August, joined by the mastermind of the Unforeseen, Skyra, and the Munich-based Zenker Brothers. Founders of the influential, genre-agnostic label Ilian Tape, established in 2007, they are innovators who forged their own trademark sound through a synthesis of Detroit techno, IDM, house, dub, hip-hop, and breakbeats. Dario Zenker embarked on this journey in the late 1990s, influenced by underground hip-hop and dub. Inspired by Munich's Goa parties, he received his first turntables at the age of 15 and began DJing. Marco Zenker, who was deeply involved in skateboarding and listened to artists such as Madlib and Lee “Scratch” Perry, entered the world of techno in 2006 after hearing one of Dario's DJ sets. That night ultimately defined the brothers' shared path. Their standout catalogues and various solo works showcase a deep musicality alongside a love of kick drum patterns, with an instinctive, connective, and uncompromising sound. Zenker Brothers run Tangible Air Studio and master all Ilian Tape records. Swiss DJ and producer Deetron, with nearly 30 years of experience in crafting his art, is a true pillar of consistency, creativity, and technical mastery. Renowned for his mind-boggling three-deck DJ sets, signature remixes, and a richly diverse discography, Deetron has built a career defined by quality, depth, and authenticity, initially rooted in hip-hop, MCing, graffiti, and DJs who transformed turntables into instruments, resulting in releases on labels such as Axis, Nu Groove, Mutual Rytm, Rekids, Cod3 QR, Running Back, Perpetual Sounds and Club Gudu.
