The Sanremo Music Festival is Italy's national song contest and the country's single biggest music television event, staged at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo and broadcast live by RAI. The 77th edition runs from 16 to 20 February 2027 across four competition nights and a Saturday final, hosted by Stefano De Martino, who is also artistic director. The winner of the fourth night represents Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest. Theatre seats are limited and sell out, with most of the audience watching on Rai 1.
