Concerts in Sydney: April 2026

April is a heavy month for live music in Sydney. The Easter long weekend (Good Friday 3 April through Easter Monday 6 April) opens the calendar with a cluster of shows, and the weeks that follow pack in arena tours, theatre nights, and small-venue supports running back-to-back. The first three weeks carry the most traffic.
Three dates in particular need a decision before you arrive.
Saturday 4 April is the most congested single day of the month. Erykah Badu plays TikTok Entertainment Centre, Sublime with Skegss are at the Hordern, nimino headlines Metro Theatre, Avantdale Bowling Club take Oxford Art Factory, and 240KM/H runs a techno showcase at Plaza Hotel. These are five separate shows across five venues with no meaningful crossover in genre or audience.
Easter Sunday 5 April splits the electronic crowd three ways: Touch Bass at the Hordern, S.A.S.H in the Street in Ultimo, and Lost Sundays at ivy. All run simultaneously.
Saturday 18 April has nothing, nowhere. at Factory Theatre Marrickville, Ollie Lishman at Liberty Hall, and Dennis Cruz and Toman at the Greenwood Hotel from 2pm.
Tickets are available through Ticketek, Ticketmaster, Moshtix, Megatix, and Humanitix depending on event. Sold-out status is noted where confirmed.
Arena Shows
A Day to Remember + Papa Roach: Big Rock Tour
Friday 10 April | Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park
The co-headline pairing of A Day to Remember and Papa Roach lands at Qudos for a single arena night, with French metalcore act LANDMVRKS opening. For A Day to Remember, the tour continues the momentum from their eighth album Big Ole Album Vol. 1 and follows their appearance at Knotfest Australia in 2025. Papa Roach have the 25th anniversary of Infest in recent rear-view and a deepening back catalogue that rewards a long set. The billing does not specify a headliner order, so plan for roughly equal stage time.
Tickets: Ticketek. Presented by Destroy All Lines.
MGK: Lost Americana Tour
Tuesday 14 April | Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park
Machine Gun Kelly's seventh album Lost Americana brought him back to alt-pop rock territory, and the arena tour reflects the scale he has reached since Tickets to My Downfall in 2020. Sydney is the third of four Australian dates, following Perth and Melbourne and preceding Brisbane. Support: Honestav.
Tickets: Ticketek.
Large Venues and Theatres
Erykah Badu: Walk Between Worlds Tour
Saturday 4 April | TikTok Entertainment Centre (ICC Sydney Theatre), Darling Harbour
Erykah Badu's first Australian shows in over 12 years, with the Sydney date the day after her Bluesfest appearance on 3 April. The TikTok Entertainment Centre holds around 8,000 and gives the show a scale that suits a catalogue spanning Baduizm (1997) through the New Amerykah albums and beyond. Five Grammy wins; a touring reputation for long, unhurried sets that treat the room as the destination rather than the schedule.
Tickets: Ticketek.
Sublime (feat. Jakob Nowell) w/ Skegss
Saturday 4 April | Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park
Bluesfest sideshow. The reformed Long Beach ska-punk band, now fronted by Jakob Nowell (son of the late Bradley Nowell), plays their first major Australian run. The band released Ensenada in 2024, their first original single in 30 years, which reached number one on Billboard Alternative Airplay. Skegss support. Licensed all ages.
Note: Saturday 4 April puts Erykah Badu at TikTok Entertainment Centre and Sublime at the Hordern simultaneously, alongside nimino at Metro Theatre and Avantdale Bowling Club at Oxford Art Factory. Four shows running across four venues in the same evening. Plan the debrief accordingly.
Tickets: Ticketek.
The Black Crowes
Wednesday 8 April + Thursday 9 April | Enmore Theatre, Newtown
Two nights at the Enmore, added after the original single date sold through. The Black Crowes are touring their tenth album A Pound of Feathers, released 13 March 2026; Sydney is one of the first stops worldwide to hear the material live. Support across both nights from The Southern River Band. The 2024 album Happiness Bastards earned the band their first Grammy nomination in over three decades, which adds a measure of current form to a catalogue that long predates the reunion.
Tickets: Live Nation / Ticketek. Doors 7pm, show 8pm.
MAY-A: Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) Tour
Thursday 9 April | Liberty Hall, Moore Park
Sydney-born MAY-A brings her debut album Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) (Sony Music, 20 February 2026) to her home city for a single night. Liberty Hall is a mid-capacity room that suits the album's emotional range: songs like Catching Up 2 U, Claws, and (I'm Here For The) Girls have built the setlist expectations without overexposing the record live. The 2022 Flume collaboration Say Nothing topped the triple j Hottest 100; this is the proper full headline follow-through.
Tickets: Moshtix. Presented by I OH YOU, MG Live, and triple j. Prices from $49.90.
Note: Thursday 9 April also has The Black Crowes at Enmore. Two very different rooms for the same evening.
Pierce The Veil
Friday 10 April + Saturday 11 April | Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park
Two nights at the Hordern on the I Can't Hear You World Tour, with Movements and Jack Kays supporting. Saturday was added after the Friday date moved into presale at pace. The shows are the band's first Australian appearances since 2016 and their first opportunity to perform 2023's The Jaws of Life here. The album debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 and has accumulated more than 140 million streams; expect material spanning the full catalogue, not just the new record.
Tickets: Ticketek. Presented by Live Nation.
Note: Friday 10 April puts Pierce the Veil at the Hordern, A Day to Remember and Papa Roach at Qudos, and Santiago Motorizado at Oxford Art Factory. If you hold tickets to any of these and have friends at another, the debrief conversation should be productive.
Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening
Tuesday 21 April | Sydney Opera House Concert Hall
Jason Bonham's JBLZE project closes its global 50th anniversary run of Physical Graffiti with the Australian leg, and Sydney gets the Concert Hall. The show performs the 1975 double album in full alongside Led Zeppelin standards including Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, and Stairway to Heaven. Bonham's band: James Dylan (vocals), Jimmy Sakurai (lead guitar), Alex Howland (keys/guitar), Dorian Heartsong (bass). Running time approximately two hours with no interval. 18+ event.
Tickets: Ticketmaster. Via Metropolis Touring.
Small and Mid-Size Venues
MUROKI: Amber Skies Tour
Thursday 2 April | The Lansdowne, Chippendale
New Zealand-born, Sydney-based MUROKI opens April with the first show of her Amber Skies tour. She built her profile through backing vocals and independent releases before developing a sound that mixes R&B, pop, and acoustic arrangements. The Lansdowne is a good fit for the intimacy of the material.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
ZHU: Back Down Under Tour
Thursday 2 April | UNSW Roundhouse, Kensington
ZHU's first Australian shows since 2018 arrive ahead of his new album Black Midas, due 24 April. The project built its profile through anonymous deep house and electronica releases before expanding into R&B and more textured electronic territory; his live show has grown correspondingly since the Generationwhy era. A Thursday night at the Roundhouse, a 2,200-capacity venue on the UNSW campus, is a well-matched room for material that rewards attention.
Tickets: Moshtix / Live Nation. $81.50.
nimino: Spring Tour 2026
Saturday 4 April | Metro Theatre, Sydney
Canadian singer-songwriter nimino makes her Australian debut after a sold-out North American headline run. I Only Smoke When I Drink has passed 80 million streams and established her sound in indie-pop territory. Supports: Tiff Cornish and Rubisco. The Metro holds around 1,000 in its standing configuration, which makes this a genuinely small room for a debut show given the streaming numbers. Get there before the support acts if you want floor position.
Tickets: Ticketek.
Avantdale Bowling Club: 3D Tour
Saturday 4 April | Oxford Art Factory, Darlinghurst
New Zealand hip-hop project Avantdale Bowling Club returns with the 3D tour, named for their third studio album. Tom Scott's band-led approach to hip-hop production has made Avantdale one of the more critically consistent projects in the region; Oxford Art Factory is the correct room for their scale of ambition and audience.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
Santiago Motorizado: Australia Tour 2026
Friday 10 April | Oxford Art Factory, Darlinghurst
Argentine indie rock artist Santiago Motorizado (of El Mató a un Policía Motorizado) makes a first Australian visit. The band's catalogue is long-standing in the Latin indie underground and has built a word-of-mouth following in Australia well beyond its geographic reach. The April 10 clash with multiple arena events means this room may be quieter than it might otherwise be; that is not necessarily a problem. Doors 7pm.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
Mayonnaise Live in Sydney 2026
Sunday 12 April | Oxford Art Factory, Darlinghurst
Filipino rock band Mayonnaise bring their live show to Sydney for one night. The band has maintained a dedicated following across Southeast Asia since the early 2000s and has made periodic Australian appearances that tend to sell to a specific and loyal diaspora crowd. Doors 6pm.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
Chase Matthew: Holdin' It Down Tour
Tuesday 14 April | Factory Theatre, Marrickville
American country singer-songwriter Chase Matthew tours Holdin' It Down, his 2024 full-length. The Factory Theatre is an established mid-size room in Marrickville that handles country touring acts well given the layout and sound. Matthew's fanbase skews younger than traditional country audiences, and the show runs on the 14th alongside MGK at Qudos for those deciding between very different rooms.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
K-Pop Icons
Wednesday 15 April | State Theatre, Sydney | 3pm
K-Pop Icons is a concert experience covering the catalogues of major acts across the genre. Exact set and performer details were not confirmed at time of publication; check the State Theatre website for programme updates. The 3pm start is earlier than a typical evening show.
Tickets: Ticketmaster.
nothing, nowhere.: The Return of the Reaper Tour
Saturday 18 April | Factory Theatre, Marrickville
Joe Mulherin's nothing, nowhere. project blends emo, hip-hop, and post-hardcore into a sound that has built a significant following independently of any one scene. The Return of the Reaper tour brings US act sace6 to Australia for their first visit, alongside Sydney's Closure in support. The Factory Theatre is a sensible room for this; compact enough to keep the floor energy intact.
Tickets: Moshtix.
Ollie Lishman
Saturday 18 April | Liberty Hall, Moore Park
Rising Australian electronic producer Ollie Lishman plays Liberty Hall in an Untitled Group booking. His sound crosses groove, techno, and hard house; the show on the 18th lands the same night as nothing, nowhere. at Factory Theatre and Dennis Cruz at the Greenwood Hotel in the afternoon. Three very different rooms within a few kilometres of each other.
Tickets: Moshtix.
Dennis Cruz + Toman
Saturday 18 April | Greenwood Hotel, North Sydney | 2pm
Spanish house DJ Dennis Cruz and Dutch producer Toman headline a daytime show at the Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney, running from 2pm. A different proposition from the evening shows on the same date: earlier start, accessible venue, house-focused programming. Cruz operates primarily in the peak-hour and closing-set register; Toman brings a harder-edged melodic techno sound.
Tickets: Megatix. From $95.
Odeal: The Shows That Saved Us Tour
Sunday 19 April | Liberty Hall, Moore Park | 7:30pm
German-born, internationally raised Odeal plays a set drawing on R&B, Afrobeats, and Alte. The Alte influence in particular separates the set from the more mainstream R&B touring circuit.
Tickets: Moshtix.

Thursday 2 April | ivy Sydney, CBD | 8pm

Touch Bass: 10 Year Anniversary
Sunday 5 April | Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park
Touch Bass marks a decade with a lineup running across DnB and bass music: Dimension (Australian exclusive), RL Grime, A.M.C, Crankdat, Taiki Nulight (special guest), Anaïs, and Alleycvt. Dimension is one of the stronger live electronic bookings of the month regardless of genre; the Hordern is large enough to hold the production the bill warrants.
Tickets: Megatix.
S.A.S.H in the Street: 16th Birthday
Sunday 5 April | Thomas Street, Ultimo | 2pm-10pm
S.A.S.H closes Thomas Street to traffic for an Easter Sunday street party running eight hours on a Funktion One soundsystem. Lineup: Harry McCanna, Olga Korol (Ukraine/Berlin), Rich NxT, and Rossko. Tickets: Humanitix.
Lost Sundays Block Party: Easter Long Weekend Edition
Sunday 5 April | ivy Sydney, CBD | 6pm
Easter Sunday at ivy runs as an extended block party from 6pm, with a bill including Marsolo, IDEMI, Ryota, Lammer, Skeptic, BIIANCO, Dean Turnley, Mincy, and more.
Note: Easter Sunday 5 April has Touch Bass at the Hordern, S.A.S.H in the Street in Ultimo, and Lost Sundays at ivy all running simultaneously. Hordern for DnB production scale; Thomas Street for outdoor house and a Funktion One rig; ivy for a broader club bill from 6pm.
Tickets: via Ticketmaster partner site.
Above's 3rd Birthday ft. Armand Van Helden
Saturday 11 April | ivy Sydney, CBD | 9pm
The Above event series marks its third anniversary with a headline set from Armand Van Helden, the New York house and dance producer known for releases spanning the mid-1990s through to the current decade. Van Helden's sets skew toward crowd-readable house and his original catalogue, which gives the night a function distinct from the more contemporary bookings in the same series.
Tickets: via Ticketmaster partner site.
Practical Notes
Getting to Sydney Olympic Park (Qudos Bank Arena)
The Olympic Park train station is on the T1 North Shore/Chatswood line and the direct Olympic Park line. On event nights, Transport for NSW typically runs express services direct to Olympic Park Station, which is a short walk from the arena. Check transportnsw.info for the event-night timetable in the days before your show. The Opal card system covers all public transport; tap on and tap off. Rideshare drop-off zones operate outside the main arena entrances. Parking is available throughout Sydney Olympic Park but fills early; pre-booking through the Sydney Olympic Park website is recommended.
Getting to TikTok Entertainment Centre (Darling Harbour)
The ICC Sydney Theatre is at 14 Darling Drive, Darling Harbour. Town Hall and Central stations are both roughly a 10-minute walk. The L1 light rail runs to Convention Centre stop on Darling Harbour. Buses serving Pyrmont and the CBD pass along Hay Street and Darling Drive. The Opal card covers all options.
Getting to Moore Park Venues (Hordern Pavilion, Liberty Hall)
The 355, 393, and M50 bus routes serve Moore Park from the CBD. From Central Station, the 355 takes approximately 15 minutes. The Hordern Pavilion and Liberty Hall are both walking distance from the bus stop on Anzac Parade near the SCG. No direct train line serves Moore Park; buses are the practical option if you are not driving. Street parking in the surrounding residential area is limited on event nights.
Getting to Newtown and Enmore (Enmore Theatre)
Newtown Station on the T3 Bankstown line is a 10-minute walk from the Enmore Theatre. Trains run regularly from Central and City Circle stations. The walk from Newtown Station along King Street passes through the venue's usual post-show crowd, which can slow progress. Buses 422, 423, and 426 also serve Enmore Road. Rideshare pickup works well from Enmore Road directly outside the venue.
Getting to UNSW Roundhouse (Kensington)
The UNSW Roundhouse is on the UNSW campus in Kensington. Buses 891, 893, and 895 run from Circular Quay and Central Station and stop on High Street near the venue. The walk from Redfern Station via the campus perimeter takes approximately 20 minutes; manageable but not the fastest option late at night. Rideshare to the High Street entry is the cleaner choice for after-midnight departures.
Getting to Factory Theatre (Marrickville)
Factory Theatre is at 105 Victoria Road, Marrickville. Sydenham Station on the T3 line is a 10-minute walk; Marrickville Station is around 15 minutes. Buses 423 and 428 pass along Marrickville Road nearby. Street parking on surrounding residential streets fills on event nights.
Getting to the Opera House
Ferry from Circular Quay is the most direct option; Circular Quay Wharf is a five-minute walk from the Concert Hall entry. The Opal card covers ferry travel. Trains to Circular Quay Station run on the City Circle. The walk from Wynyard Station takes around 12 minutes. Rideshare drop-off at the Botanic Garden Road entry on the eastern side of the forecourt keeps vehicles away from the pedestrian concourse.
Getting to Darlinghurst (Oxford Art Factory)
Oxford Art Factory is on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. The venue is walkable from Kings Cross Station or Museum Station; the walk from Kings Cross is around 10 minutes. Buses 333, 380, and 389 run along Oxford Street. Street parking on Oxford Street and surrounding blocks is metered and limited; public transport is the better option for late-night events.
Getting to Greenwood Hotel (North Sydney)
The Greenwood Hotel is at 36 Blue Street, North Sydney, a short walk from North Sydney Station on the T1 North Shore line. From Wynyard, trains take under five minutes; from Central around 10 minutes. For a 2pm daytime show, the walk from North Sydney Station is straightforward and surrounding street parking is available earlier in the afternoon.
Ticketing and Earplugs
Qudos Bank Arena and Hordern Pavilion events have bag restrictions: no backpacks, bags must be A5 size or smaller (approximately 15cm x 20cm). Check each venue's conditions of entry before arrival.
Earplugs: bring them for everything. Musician's earplugs with flat attenuation are available at most music retailers and pharmacies for $20 to $40. They reduce volume without significantly affecting sound quality and are worth carrying for any show in this list, from arena to street party.
Muse can help you find people going to the same shows this month.
