STRAND Fesztival is Hungary's biggest beach festival, held on the free beach at Zamardi on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. The 2027 edition runs 19 to 21 August and draws around 80,000 people for a mix of Hungarian and international pop, electronic and hip hop, with stages set directly on the sand and in the water. Camping is available nearby and Zamardi is on the direct rail line from Budapest.
