Libra Esterlina x Stereo: JASSS & Josey Rebelle

About

A night of swarming, swelling bass and textural techno derivates takes place at Stereo this November as JASSS and Josey Rebelle arrive to town. The basement warms as the winter starts to bite - Libra Esterlina and Stereo shake hands and open the doors on the 6th, inviting two artists renowned for pushing the edges of genre and twisting the experience and expression of club. In the red corner, JASSS, hailing from the North of Spain via Berlin, a sound that coalesces a tense structure of techno with free-flowing latin impulses, shapeshifting into its own mythology. In the blue corner, Josey Rebelle - emerging from the towers and basements of London, the Open Ground resident defies categorisation, embedding the pressure of heavy bass into sets that snarl and unfurl. As the first lights of the night start to glow, Glasgow’s ephemeral Acido Cielo sets the tone. A polymorph of sound with roots in Italy, she’ll make the first sparks of this party - fusing and experimenting across a spectrum of club. ‘Are my angel fish fighting or kissing?’, from enemies to lovers, lovers to foes, Libra Esterlina and Stereo invite you to a party built from the tensions of duality. A constant motion of push and pull, with RE Pegg on stage, alongside us, dancing and floating through movement
