DURATIONS: Yu Su, Ghost Dubs [Live], K Wata [Live], Ayanna Heaven

About

Sunday is all about dub its trajectories. Shaped by a life lived across key musical landscapes, Ayanna Heaven’s sets are historically-rooted yet forward-looking. K Wata’s live set draws from ‘Give U Space:’ its bassbin minimalism and psychoacoustic precision. Ghost Dubs comes next, sending the further-submerged rhythms of his recent dub techno abstraction ‘Oblique.’ Yu Su closes the festival. Her sonic evolution and newfound taste for the dancefloor moves slowly and builds gradually, always with restraint — however strange. DURATIONS Festival is a week-long, multi-disciplinary exploration of sound and connection. Now in its fifth iteration, the festival’s programming is its most robust yet, with seven days of music, talks, audiovisual work taking place between Public Records, Pioneer Works, Roulette, and Whitney Museum of American Art. - Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
